Equal access to our programs

The Real Estate Foundation Inc does not discriminate, and does not permit discrimination by anyone acting on its behalf, in the administration of its programs, services, activities, hiring, volunteering, or governance.

Participation in our housing education, counseling, and housing-access programs is open to all eligible individuals and families without regard to:

• Race, color, ethnicity, or national origin
• Religion, creed, or absence of religious belief
• Sex, pregnancy, gender, gender identity, or gender expression
• Sexual orientation — our services are fully open to LGBTQ+ individuals, couples, and families
• Familial status, marital status, or household composition
• Disability, including physical, sensory, cognitive, and mental health disability
• Age
• Military or veteran status
• Immigration status, primary language, or source of lawful income
• Any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state, or local law

Fair housing

The Foundation supports the principles of the federal Fair Housing Act and Florida's fair housing laws. Housing discrimination is unlawful, and our housing education and counseling work is intended to help households understand and exercise their rights.

No belief requirement, no eligibility test of conscience

The Foundation is not a religious organization and does not operate a religious program. We do not require, ask about, or take into account any religious belief, religious practice, political view, or personal characteristic as a condition of receiving help. Where any value or philosophy informs how we work, it shapes our approach to service — it is never a condition of eligibility for it.

Accessibility

We aim to make our programs and this website usable by everyone. If you encounter a barrier to participating in a program, or a page on this site that is difficult to use with assistive technology, please tell us at info@therealestatefoundation.org and we will work to address it.

Raising a concern

If you believe you have been treated unfairly by the Foundation or by anyone representing it, you may report it to info@therealestatefoundation.org. Reports are directed to the board of directors, may be made in confidence, and are protected by our whistleblower policy against any form of retaliation.
